David Hobbs driving a Malcolm Gartlan Ford Falcon was first to cross the line in Class D of the Q Trophy, a round of the British Saloon Car Championship which supported the Martini International Trophy at Silverstone in July 1968. Frank Gardner won Class C in his Alan Mann Ford Escort and went on to win the championship later that year. John Fitzpatrick, Broadspeed Ford Escort, won class B while Les Nash drove his Ford Anglia to victory in Class A
