Tough discussions in the paddock at Oulton

Here's Jack Brabham having a chat with Honda mechanics in the paddock at Oulton Park.

Tough discussions in the paddock at Oulton

The event was the 1965 F2 Spring International, and Jack offered to withdraw his car due to lack of performance.

He ended up on the back of the grid and retired after 17 laps.

His speed on the straight was 114mph, compared to Graham Hill’s Brabham BRM at 128mph. The shape of things to come though!

The race saw Denny Hulme drive his Brabham Cosworth to victory

See here for more of my pictures from the meeting.
